Hard work and determination is but half of what won Creative Interiors owner TANYA PADGETT her latest big dream: A new 12,000 square-foot showplace for her home furnishings store and design headquarters on downtown Prescott’s Courthouse Square. The rest can be attributed to her keen eye for design and hands-on talent for uncovering what fits each client, coupled with an intuitive sense of coming trends in styles for home and office. A stroll through the spacious design suites at her new location makes it all the more remarkable that Tanya began her business “on a shoestring” in a spare upstairs bedroom at home just eleven years ago. “When you love your work, great things happen,” says Tanya. “I have a wonderful, expanding client base in a vibrant town. I get to travel the world to find unique pieces to bring back to Prescott. Many are one-of-a-kind, and I enjoy sharing my ‘finds’ with both longtime clients and newcomers to our store. The best part is pulling it all together for a client, whether a single room or a design plan for an entire building’s decor, inside and out. Finding the perfect finishing touches to enliven that space, incorporating that client’s own personality and style is always a thrill - especially when I see that excitement in my client’s face. I’ll never tire of that!”

MARILYN HERBERT joined the design staff at Creative Interiors in January 2004. “I get my greatest satisfaction from working closely with clients to create unique designs expressly for them,” Marilyn explains. “The end result should mirror what they imagine the room to be - and my job is to make that happen.” She studied interior design at Scottsdale Community College, starting her career at a studio that, by odd coincidence, was also named Creative Interiors. Marilyn’s 20 years of design experience is much valued by her fellow design associates and clients alike, and is beautifully demonstrated in her extraordinary gift for drapery design.
MARSHA SEINEKE is so at home in Prescott that it’s hard to imagine she’s been here for just little more than two years. She hails from Southern California where her design career began in 1988 when she opened California Expressions Interior Sales and Design. She was delighted at the opportunity to join the Creative Interiors design team, where she quickly immersed herself in becoming familiar with Prescott’s many resources for interior designers, as well as learning everything she could about the best manufacturers of furnishings and accessories - knowledge she happily shares with clients. “I take great pride in providing innovative design planning, and bringing a refreshing, harmonious ambiance to clients’ homes and offices.” BARB HOLCOMB. After completing Interior Design studies at the University of Arizona in 1979 she headed for the Pacific Northwest to pursue her career in Seattle, WA. From that experience she continued her career with Ethan Allen Home Interiors in Redmond, WA., where she excelled in designing custom window treatments and inspiring space planning for furniture and accessory placement. After 23 years in the rain Barb was thrilled to return to Arizona’s sunshine and become a part of the Creative Interiors design team in July of 2004. Benefiting from her extensive design experience she provides a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide through the deign process for Creative Interiors clients.

Her work in the Valley often included whole house design, from pre-plan and drawing the plans through completion of the project.
